How to disinfect and care for your kitchen-ready wood products

Our serving boards, cutting boards, walnut bowls, and rolling pins are handcrafted from food safe woods, maple and walnut. Each piece is finished with food grade danish oil.

For disinfecting, we recommend using a solution of water, distilled vinegar and a little lemon juice. Simply spray or wipe your piece down with this solution, rinse and dry with a clean cloth or paper towel.

To maintain your wood product, every month or two wipe it down with a clean cloth and food grade butcher block wax

How to care for your air plant

Air plants are great because they are one of the easiest plants to care for, and they don't require soil! These types of plants are called epiphytes, the most well known being Spanish Moss. Air plants are evergreen, perennial flowering plants, meaning they won't die in the winter, and they flower to reproduce.

To water your air plant, submerge the plant in water for 10-20 minutes every two or three weeks. Let the plant dry on a clean cloth or paper towel before returning the plant to its holder.

If your plant is blooming, do not submerge the flowers because they can rot and wilt. Instead you can put them in a shallow bowl and soak the bottom half of the plant or mist them more frequently with a spray bottle.

As with any of our products, don't hesitate to call or email if you have any questions about your new plant:
